Pierce County:

Public Transit Flood Analysis

Living in the Pacific Northwest has taught me that it rains, a lot. All this rain can cause damage to the physical infrastructure that is constantly being exposed to it. It can also affect the way that a person is able to access various services throughout Pierce County. This map looks at the numerous public transit routes within Pierce County, and identifies the routes that are at risk of being exposed to flooding. The gray lines are those that would not be affected by a flood, and those of gradient color are at risk of being affected by flooding. Using data provided by Pierce county made it possible to create this map and preform an analysis.
